Opposite Kensington Gardens and two minutes from Buckingham Palace, TheMilestone Hotel and Residences is hidden in plain sight. You might stumble across the hotel after a day’s shopping on High Street Kensington; despite being in the heart of the Royal Borough it feels like a wonderful secret nestled among the red-brick townhouses. The 17th-century hotel has just completed a refurbishment of two suites, the Meghan Suite and 106 GrandMaster Suite, with design direction by president and founder, Beatrice Tollman, and her daughter, Toni Tollman. Blending bespoke furnishings frommaster craftsmen and artisans, intriguing antiques and carefully chosen objets d’art, the result is exquisite. The 106 GrandMaster Suite has been nicknamed ‘the Hermès Suite’ as its white velvet walls are adorned with vintage scarves encased in glass. The rich, pine-forest green color scheme is complemented by tasteful Art Deco–inspired details, such as enormous gold and walnut wardrobes and statement lampshades. The large walnut desk overlooks the greenery of Kensington Palace gardens, where you may spot a member of the British Royal family flying over by helicopter. The suite has a charming balcony where we recommend taking breakfast in a plush robe and slippers. TheMeghan Suite, named after the newest member of the British Royal family, epitomizes the Duchess’s cool sophistication with an 18th-century ebonized French bureau plat, Giacometti-style chairs and original contemporary art. An expansive handmade Savoir bed sits on top of leopard-print carpet, and is surrounded by custom-designed Indian silks. The gorgeous bathroom, set behind bronzed mirrored double doors, is striking in monochrome marble. 106 GrandMaster Suite from$2,635 per night. TheMeghan Suite from $2,635 per night. HOTEL SAVOY X EMILIO PUCCI Hotel Savoy overlooks the Piazza della Repubblica in Florence, and is the source of inspiration for two specially designed scarves by Emilio Pucci. Reimagined in Pucci’s signature style of vivid colors, the two scarves (one in bright pink, the other in turquoise) have been encased on glass tabletops in the terrace restaurant. The Pucci touch is peppered throughout the hotel — check out the hand-tufted rug in the lobby with a Lamborghini print from Pucci’s archives. roccofortehotels.com

ONE&ONLY LE SAINT GÉRAN X ALICE TEMPERLY Nestled away on a private peninsula, One&Only Le Saint Géran underwent a multi-million-dollar refurbishment late last year and is still a favorite of celebrities and fashionistas. For a special experience, book The Glampfire Dinner next to a traditional tipi designed by British designer Alice Temperly. Known for her boho-chic aesthetic, the hand-stitched canopy has twinkling jewels that reflect the light of the setting sun. Inside, a Parisian glass chandelier hangs from the rafters. oneandonlyresorts.com

HOTELMETROPOLEMONTE-CARLOXKARL LAGERFELD Karl Lagerfeld is no stranger to hotel design, and his input at the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo draws on tales of ancient Greece to create a dramatic scene. The well-being area, named Odyssey, includes a seawater pool, solarium and poolside restaurant. Overlooking the pool are floor-to-ceiling backlit glass panels that depict Ulysses’s epic voyage: Lagerfeld photographed several of his muses wearing togas, then superimposed them onto photographs of the Greek coast. metropole.com
