Sport Watches

BREMONT AC35

Today’s sport watches have come a long way from early examples, with many offering split-second timing, and made of ultra high-tech materials that can withstand water, pressure and shocks. The watches herein run the gamut from dive watches to sailing and auto-inspired timepieces, among others. Even better, though, the new designs enable you to enjoy wearing these watches whether or not you are a sports enthusiast in any particular category.

Further developing its America’s Cup range of timepieces, this year Bremont unveiled the AC35 watch, in an extremely limited run of 35 pieces in 18K rose gold, to honor 2017's 35th America’s Cup. The AC35 incorporates Bremont’s proprietary BWC/01 automatic movement with 50 hours of power reserve. Inspired by the J Class yachts of the 1930s, the watch features the brand’s Trip-Tick® case construction and ensures water resistance to 100 meters. $22,495 Where to buy Bremont in New York, contact John Ianniello, US retail support, john.ianniello@bremont.com, +1 855 273 6668, bremont.com

ULYSSE NARDIN MARINE CHRONOGRAPH MANUFACTURE REGATTA

Ulysse Nardin releases a groundbreaking regatta chronograph in support of Artemis Racing, with which the brand partnered for the America’s Cup races. The watch movement, Caliber UN-155, is equipped with a sweep countdown timer that can be set from one to 10 minutes for the critical moments before the race starts. However, as soon as the countdown is done, the 44mmwatch automatically begins timing the race in a clockwise direction thanks to a bi-directional seconds hand. Crafted in stainless steel, the Marine Chronograph Manufacture Regatta is water resistant up to 100meters and has a power reserve of three days. $15,900 Where to buy Ulysse Nardin in New York, contact Vivian Ariel, boutique manager, vivian@boutiques50cps.com, +1 212 257 4920, ulysse-nardin.com
