ALPINE ACTION SWITZERLAND
This 10-day itinerary by alpine travel company extraordinaire Leo Trippi explores some of the Switzerland’s highest peaks and untouched slopes. You’ll spend time in St Moritz, Andermatt and Zermatt: Explore the challenging terrain; go heli-skiing to the Hü fi Glacier; tackle the famous Bernhard Russi black run — as well as the Gira ff e and Geissberg o ff -piste routes — before popping over to Italy for a well-deserved lunch. Then it’s on to Verbier where the 250 miles of piste at Les 4 Vallées are your snowy playground. Enjoy some après-ski at Clos de Tsampéhro, where you’ll sample some traditional Valais wine. You’ll stay at Chalet Renée at Crans-Montana, where a chef from a Michelin-starred restaurant can be fl own in to whip up a mountain-inspired feast. Ski in the Crans-Montana area (it’s good for both intermediate and powder skiers) or take the chairlift to La Toula for a challenge — the Piste Nationale is seven miles in length. On the fi nal day, a helicopter will take you to the top of Glacier 3000 in Villars les Diablerets, where over 69 miles of jaw-dropping slopes and scenery await. Looking to improve your technique?
