Presented by internationally renowned Saatchi Art, The Other Art Fair focuses on providing some of the world’s most exciting emerging artists with an audience of discerning art collectors. Following its success in the UK and Australia, the event will take place for the first time in New York City from June 1-4. A selection committee of art experts have chosen 130 stand-out artists for the inaugural US edition, promising to present the unexpected through its carefully curated program. Look out for the vibrant artworks of Brooklyn- based artist Ashley Cunningham; through the medium of acrylic and mixed media, such as resin, ink, graphite and pastel on canvas, Cunningham aims to visually represent popular culture, the way it affects communication and the need for immediate gratification — both personally and in the world at large. Her latest collection of paintings focuses specifically on social media and the affect it has on language and communication in everyday life.
