The Ritz-Carlton Suite's living room

Way up on the 50th fl oor, swanky cocktail bar Nubeluz has quickly become one of NYC’s hottest reservations. Alongside signature cocktails (get the Melon Cloud) and premium bottle service, Nubeluz serves up some seriously good light bites and snacks — the grilled cheese with mustard, the lobster roll and the potato chips (served in the bag) with labneh and salmon roe are all musts. Club Level guests have access to the exclusive 37th- fl oor lounge, where drinks fl ow freely all day, from mimosas and bloody marys at breakfast to evening cocktail hour. An impressive spread of food is laid out all day too — Milk Bar cookies are my favorite sweet treat, and jars of di ff erent fl avors were out every day. NoMad’s appeal is in its enviable position overlooking the city, tucked away below lies another draw: a huge subterranean spa. Covering 6,800 sq ft, the complex is a real refuge from the streets above, with eight treatment rooms (including a couple’s suite), a sauna, a steam room and a state-of-the-art gym. RELAX While much of the The Ritz-Carlton New York, EXPLORE The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad is, by all standards, at the heart of the action. Smack bang in the middle of the Flower District (something it pays homage to via the lobby’s seasonal fl ower truck and in-room arrangements), the hotel is quite close to some of NYC’s main sites of interest, including the Empire State Building and the Flatiron Building. That famous Ritz-Carlton service naturally extends to the concierge team, who can help out with any reservations, car services or city tips you need — make good use of their top-notch advice. rooms to choose from but l'd pick one on a high fl oor. Request a south-facing room; the views stretch all the way down the hotel’s Flatiron District location to the very south of Manhattan and beyond. Each room is gently decorated in a neutral palette (with the exception of some signature suites, where there’s a touch more pizzazz), with massive comfy beds ideally situated to soak up those views. We’re in the upper realms of luxury here, so you can expect in-room amenities to be above par, from the Diptyque products in the bathroom to the premium mini bar. If you’re after something special, go for The Ritz-Carlton Suite. The $20,000-a-night accommodation sits up on the hotel’s 37th fl oor, and gazes out on those skyline views through almost- fl oor to-ceiling windows in every room. In the open-plan lounge and dining area, an ocher ’70s-style sofa occupies much of the space, with gold accents and moody lighting creating a glamorous fi nish. A media room leads into the bedroom. The real star of the show, however, is the bathroom — retreat here after a long day in the city for a soak in the oversized bathtub, which looks over the skyscrapers and beyond. The 2,100-sq-ft suite has one bedroom as standard but can be conjoined with neighboring rooms. DINE The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad pulls out all the stops when it comes to F&B, with every outlet helmed by Spanish-American chef José Andrés, of the two-Michelin-star minibar in Washington DC. On the fi rst fl oor there is Zaytinya, a low-key Mediterranean spot, as well as the all-day Lobby Lounge. For high-end fi ne dining, enjoy the signature restaurant, The Bazaar by José Andrés, which fuses Andrés’ native Spanish cuisine with Japanese in fl uences in an atmospheric dining room.

THE RITZ-CARLTON NEW YORK, NOMAD NEW YORK CITY Stretching some 500 ft into the skyline, The Ritz Carlton New York, NoMad made an impression from the moment it opened back in the summer of 2022. Completely new, built from the ground up, the hotel is one of the tallest in the area; as a result, its views are some of the very best in the city. Inside, it’s a vision of slick, fi ve-star service and design, with the Ritz Carlton’s ‘Ladies and Gentlemen’ (the brand’s name for the small army that forms the team) going above and beyond to create special stays. Ritz-Carlton properties have previously struggled to forge their own identity, especially in a hub like NYC, but the NoMad opening helped prove this to be a concern of the past. STAY The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad has 219 guest rooms, 31 suites and 16 residences. That’s a lot of
