Art at Morpheus With such a beautifully designed exterior and interior, it’s no surprise that Morpheus is home to a number of exciting and unique art installations. Be sure to spend some time exploring the various displays throughout the hotel: Recent installations include 200 LITOFAIRHOUR (meaning 7,063 cu ft of air per hour, the volume of air required to put up the installation) by French artist Charles Pétillon, in which nearly 20-ft-high fabric bubbles create a floating cloud above the energy and excitement of the ground below. Echoes-Infinity by Japan’s Shinji Ohmaki comprises a corridor of exquisite floral panels. Inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci’s Tree of Life and Zaha Hadid’s architecture in which the work is exhibited, Shinji Ohmaki uses colors and imaginary plants to symbolize diversity and boundless imagination. The artist has brought in universal patterns to create a forest with them. It leads people into the realm of fantasy, while the use of mirrors extends reality into infinity. Within the Morpheus’ contemporary visual art gallery, Art on 23, you’ll find a wonderland of thrilling works of art. Good Intentions by KAWS is a large-scale sculpture showing two of his famous character designs as parent and child, and Cabane éclatée (Exploded Hut) by Daniel Buren is also on display.
