Elite Traveler Los Cabos 2019
Los Cabos provides activities to fit every taste, age, and style. A must for any visitor to Los Cabos and Southern Baja is whale watching. During the peak months of December through April, few places in the world offer the rare opportunity to get so close to these magnificent mammals. Los Cabos has several high-quality tour operators offering a myriad of tour options. One of the most popular ways to experience these amazing creatures is private boat tours. This provides guests with both privacy and the ability to customize their experience to whatever suits their family or group’s individual expectations. Vacationers can charter live-aboard yachts for multi-day excursions in the Sea of Cortes, experience an authentic Pirate Boat excursion, reliving Cabo’s early years, or take a leisurely twilight dinner cruise around Los Cabos with friends. Take to the seas in style on a state-of-the-art catamaran or fly over Los Cabos in an ultra-light plane, seeing the Los Cabos landscape from an entirely different point of view. Guests can have experiences like no other; a zip-lining across deep canyons, swimming with dolphins, or riding on a docile camel along one of the many pristine beaches and sand dunes. Kayaking trips along the scenic coastline of the Sea of Cortes and islands of the East Cape offers a unique opportunity to experience the “real Baja”. The sea isn’t the only place to have an unforgettable experience in Los Cabos. Under an hour’s drive from Los Cabos is the Rancho San Cristobal protected preserve. This area is the perfect place to see Mexico’s beautiful desert landscape. Adventurers can explore by foot on a hike, ATV or by riding mountain bikes. Action - Adventure – Unique Family Experiences
One of the best, and most memorable, ways to experience Los Cabos’ water wonderlands is by exploring under the sea. Los Cabos provides a temperate climate that makes snorkeling and scuba diving possible all year and for all levels of divers. The North Wall location is a great spot for beginner as well as experienced divers. With depths from 15 to 60 feet and a range of sea-life, including rays and puffer fish, this area ranks high on the list of popular dives. Another must-dive are the coral reefs found in the Cabo Pulmo National Park and marine protected area. If diving at these depths are not on your bucket-list, try diving or snorkeling with the oceans largest shark, the whale shark, which is a gentle filter-feeder and can grow up to 30 feet long. Bird lovers will enjoy a walk around the San Jose oasis, the largest body of fresh water in southern Baja—keep an eye out for the majestic white heron as well as several species of water fowl and indigenous hawks. To end an adventurous day, vacationers are encouraged to Jet Ski along the beach, or explore the dunes on an ATV.
