The Ledge offers a variety of all-day options, from American breakfast favorites to contemporary Mexican cuisine, all within a light and lively atmosphere reminiscent of a Mexican beach house (both indoor and alfresco dining are available). A throwback to a bygone era and the classic bars of Mexico’s Pacific Coast, the Sunken Bar is ideal for a casual rendezvous. Open all day, the lobby lounge features an indoor-meets-outdoor design, living room style seating, bright handwoven Mexican rugs, a pool table and more. At six stories high sits The Rooftop, one of the best rooftop lounges in Cabo San Lucas. This signature space features two open-air bars, sunken communal seating, lush greenery, firepits and serene water features. RELAX On the westernmost point of The Cape sits Currents. The intimate, seven-treatment-room spa serves as a stunning example of the vision of architect Javier Sánchez and interior designer Marisabel Gómez Vázquez. Softly lit with dark, charcoal gray walls and minimal art, the space removes extraneous stimuli, allowing the sights, sounds and natural decor of the nearby desert-meets-the-sea landscape to set the ambience. Currents offers a steam room, sauna, hot and cold plunge pools, a couples treatment room with rain showers and a private pool, and two ocean-view cabanas for alfresco treatments.

STAY One-, two-, and three-bedroom villas are available, including four two-story Penthouse Villas with private rooftops and plunge pools. The premier Surfer Villa is a two-story luxury suite with a private entrance and boasts a pergola with an outdoor grill and adjacent plunge pool, a pool table, sauna, and a fully equipped, state-of-the-art kitchen. Most of the guest rooms offer unobstructed ocean views, as well as outdoor terraces —many with hanging daybeds for enjoying the picturesque surroundings. Guests may especially enjoy the custom tequila amenity, a 750ml hand-etched crystal bottle of Realeza Mexicana 100% blue agave tequila, produced and bottled exclusively for The Cape (available upon arrival in all guest rooms). DINE Signature restaurant Manta was designed by JSa Arquitectura and Enrique Olvera and was inspired by the simplicity and elegance of the desert. The name has a thoughtful double meaning: a Manta ray, which symbolizes the kitchen’s focus on seafood, while manta , the Spanish word for canvas, conveys the idea of freedom in artistic expression. As The Cape’s culinary centerpiece, Manta celebrates Pacific coast cultures, taking inspiration fromMexico, Peru, Japan and beyond. Chef de cuisine Abisai Sanchez’s commitment is to source local and sustainable ingredients from Baja, while maintaining a casual spirit.

THE CAPE, A THOMPSON HOTEL CABO SAN LUCAS, MEXICO The Cape, a Thompson Hotel, is in the Cabo San Lucas region of Baja California Sur, Mexico. It is situated along one of the most desirable stretches of white sand in Los Cabos — the world-renowned surfers’ paradise known as Monuments Beach. The luxury hotel features 157 guest rooms, all with unobstructed views of the Sea of Cortez and the destination’s famed icon, El Arco — a stunning natural phenomenon of granite carved into an arch by centuries of wind and sea exposure. The Cape is the first Thompson Hotel to open in Mexico, and it effortlessly blends the upscale urban aesthetic synonymous with the brand with a distinct 1960s Baja-meets-Southern California vibe. Guests enjoy two pools, including an infinity pool with swim-up bar and another built within a natural rock formation found on the property.
