The Cotton House is a haven of tranquility

RELAX The Cotton House Spa

THE COTTON HOUSE MUSTIQUE, ST VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES

The tranquil spa packs an impressive number of services into its four rooms. Using both local ingredients and ila products, it focuses on organic treatments, energy work and, of course, pampering. The treatments range from divine facials, including the very interesting Crystal Electro Therapy facial which incorporates crystals and the electro crystal machine, said to energize the body and skin, and luxurious massages and body treatments. We love the Mustique Immersion, inspired by Mustique’s bush medicine, that uses a turmeric scrub to cleanse the body, an application of virgin coconut oil to moisturize the skin and ends with a moringa and baobab massage. Afterwards, enjoy local tea and honey while admiring the ocean views. Caribbean meets colonial at the Veranda Restaurant. Located in the hotel’s main building, it wraps around the Great Room, so it’s perfect for alfresco dining. Menu highlights include Caribbean-style sushi, with rolls featuring local fish and tropical ingredients like coconut and plantains, and pan-fried mahi mahi with caponata, potatoes and parsley sauce. The Beach Cafe The casual eatery offers it all, whether you choose to take lunch from the comfort of your beach chair, enjoy a cocktail at the thatched-roof bar or indulge in its weekly grill night. Don’t be surprised if you make new friends the moment you sit down; Mustique is a famously friendly island, and combining tables with the people next to you is almost an island tradition. ENJOY With its beachfront location, water sports are an absolute must. Cotton House has a dedicated Watersports Center that offers snorkeling, scuba diving and equipment rentals. It will even drop off your equipment at your preferred beach on the island. Take out a glass-bottomed kayak and marvel at the underwater action, or grab a boogie board and enjoy the waves. Had enough of the water? Explore the island on horseback. There’s even a pony camp for children. DINE Veranda Restaurant

This charming boutique hotel onMustique (one of two hotels on the island) has a prime beachfront location, and its restaurants and bars act as a social hub. You never knowwho will you see in the Great House, whether it’s Mick Jagger or European royalty (the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are particularly fond of Mustique). Each of The Cotton House’s rooms offers an endearing mix of British and Caribbean design and has a unique identity. After the incredible Residence, the most in-demand rooms are the Deluxe Seaview Rooms, which are perfectly positioned overlooking Endeavour Bay and have private plunge pools and outdoor showers.
