We love… Oska Pulse There’s nothing worse than an injury or a medical condition that stops you from being able to enjoy your vacation. The Oska Pulse is a small device (about the size of a smartphone) that you can discreetly strap to the site of pain. Electromagnetic pulses work to decrease inflammation, increase circulation and improve mobility — but you won’t feel a thing, just the welcome relief from pain as the pulses speed up the body’s recovery. $399, oskawellness.com

SILENCE IS GOLDEN

In British Columbia, the Scandinave Spa Whistler is surrounded by nature and, as a completely silent spa, the only sound you’re likely to hear is the gentle rustle of the wind blowing through the trees. There have been many reports about the benefits of quiet time and, especially in our modern world, it can be hard to find peace. The ethos at the spa is that silence is essential to the enjoyment of the Scandinavian baths, so there’s no talking and strictly no cell phones or laptops. Many of the hydrotherapy amenities are outdoors or accessed by walking through pretty gardens, so you feel totally immersed in the surroundings. If you visit in the summer months, head to the Hammock Haven. If you visit in winter, relax next to the outdoor fireplace. From$80 per day. Wellness, like all things in life, is best approached with moderation. If you like your kale juice with a champagne chaser, Andronis’s new wellness resort in Santorini is ideal. It’s set a little farther away from the famous cascading town of Oia (25 minutes by car) in Thira, so the resort has ample space for a tennis court, vineyard, vegetable and flower gardens, cave cinema, helipad and the largest swimming pool in Santorini. Leaning away from the famed whitewashed, blue-domed buildings the Greek isle is best recognized by, the decor is an earthy sand shade, adding to its tranquility. Begin your morning with a yoga session in a thatched-roof studio that floods the space with splintered sunlight. The panoramas of the caldera are so serene that you might not want to get into any position that obstructs your view. This studio is also the place for a unique spa treatment — Santorini is world-famous for its sunsets, but we think it’s best enjoyed with a soothing massage. Using gold-flecked massage oil, your skin is left shimmering and supple, which may be well needed after a day basking in the sun by your private pool. The resort’s restaurant, Throubi, has a menu that was created in collaboration with an expert nutritionist and a world-class chef. The result is delicious, hearty cuisine without any excess sugar, wheat or dairy. We recommend the juicy salmon. Four-bedroom villa from $6,445 per night.
