The Peninsula Suite was designed by Henry Leung of Chhada Siembieda Leung Ltd in conjunction with The Peninsula Hotel’s in-house team. “I was inspired by Paris’s reputation as the fashion capital of the world and based my design concept on haute-couture flair,” explains Leung. This luxurious residence, the hotel’s largest suite, offers an immense reception room complete with grand piano, a vast dining room seating up to 10, an elegant office and a spacious bedroom with two large dressing rooms and two marble bathrooms. True to the hotel’s architecture, the suite was designed with classic Haussmann-style features: high ceilings and large windows creating spacious rooms bathed in natural light. The soft beige and golden tones bring refinement to a suite enhanced by luxurious decoration. The design firms exercised their creativity using only the very best: silks and brocades from the Prelle workshops, trimmings from Declercq Passementiers, floor coverings by Tai Ping Carpets and Baccarat chandeliers. The interior design and furnishings at the Peninsula Spa incorporate traditional Eastern elements and contemporary elegance, blending harmonious tones and soul-soothing materials such as wood, granite and marble.
