TENTAGRAPH This new timepiece marks the fi rst time Japanese brand Grand Seiko o ff ers a mechanical chronograph. Created in titanium, the watch is equipped with the new Caliber 9SC5 Hi-Beat movement that beats 10 times per seconds to ensure precision timing. It is packed with an unprecedented three days of power reserve, even when the chronograph is activated. The caliber also houses the brand’s proprietary Dual Impulse Escapement that transfers the energy in two ways: indirectly through the pallet fork and directly from the escape wheel. $13,700, grand-seiko.com

MONTBLANC THE UNVEILED TIMEKEEPER MINERVA LE 28 A fi rst for Montblanc, its newest chronograph is devoid of the typical pushers on the side of the case. Instead, the brand adopts the fl uted bezel from beloved Minerva (which Montblanc owns) chronographs and turns it into a functioning chronograph pseudo-pusher. The unidirectional bezel is turned clockwise to operate the chronograph. One click starts it, a second stops it, and a third resets it. The patented system can time 10 separate events in one complete turn. The 18-karat Lime Gold version boasts a dark green dial with subsidiary dials and white accents.
