BREITLING PREMIER B21 CHRONOGRAPH TOURBILLON 42 LÉON BREITLING Recalling its roots and naming its newest Premier Tourbillon watches after Breitling forefathers, this Swiss brand unveils a top-notch chronograph to the Premier line, which fi rst made its debut in 1943. The new watch is equipped with a tourbillon escapement to compensate for errors in timekeeping due to the e ff ects of gravity when the watch is in certain positions. The 42mm 18-karat red gold watch is powered by the B21 caliber made by Breitling with Manufacture La Joux-Perret. In addition to the tourbillon, the chronograph is a column-wheel, horizontal clutch mechanism that times to 1/4th of a second. It is a COSC-certi fi ed chronometer. $61,000, breitling.com

OMEGA SPEEDMASTER CHRONO CHIME CO AXIAL MASTER CHRONOMETER CHRONOGRAPH The newest Caliber 1932 movement within this watch was six years in the making, holds 17 patents, and is a fully integrated minute repeater and chronograph — with antimagnetic properties. The movement, the most complicated caliber Omega has ever made, was developed in tandem with Omega’s sister brand, Blancpain. Despite repeated challenges, the caliber expands the capacities of the famed Co-Axial escapement, running at 5 Hz, displaying 1/10th of a second counting and split-second chronograph functions, and incorporating three chime cams and two security functions. It is built to withstand magnetic fi elds of 15,000 Gs thanks to 50 non-ferrous components and is Master Chronometer certi fi ed.
