Baden-Baden in fall

Gastronomy abounds in Baden-Baden. From world-renowned Michelin-starred restaurants to charismatic local taverns, a wide range of international and local cuisines is available, and delicious food is always just around the corner. Wine lovers will rejoice, too — the Rebland, the local wine mecca right outside Baden-Baden, is home to countless sun-drenched vineyards producing delectable bottles of Riesling. Especially enjoyable is wine tasting during harvest time as the local vineyards proudly showcase their home-made produce. Baden-Baden’s hot thermal springs are its raison d’être — not only a rite of passage, but also incredibly relaxing. The city gained Unesco World Heritage status in 2021 as one of the Great Spa Towns of Europe. Around 176,00 gallons of warming waters at a temperature of up to 68 degrees Celsius work

wonders for the body and soul at any time of year. This is what the Romans discovered some 2,000 years ago, when they founded the fi rst public baths in Baden-Baden. Found within architectural masterpieces and appointed with the best possible service, the expansive Caracalla Spa and the historic Friedrichsbad are the perfect spots for a serious pampering session. Opened in 1877, the latter looks back on 145 years of bathing history and brings traditional Roman bathing culture and Irish hot-air steam bathing to the modern day. For even more exclusivity make sure you book the private emperor bath. Baden-Baden is a truly enchanting place and a destination that simply cannot be missed this fall.
