A LANGE & SÖHNE Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar 25th Anniversary Earlier this year, A Lange & Söhne introduced the first watch in the brand’s 25th Anniversary collection. The series honors the late Walter Lange, whose perseverance and passion enabled him to reestablish A Lange & Söhne in 1994. The brand was originally founded by Lange’s great-grandfather in 1845, but it was expropriated after World War II and virtually disappeared. The 25th Anniversary watches are powered by existing movements, but boast distinguishing aesthetics that set them apart: silver dials with rich blue hands, numerals and accent colors. The alluring and complex Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar 25th Anniversary watch, built in a limited edition of 25 pieces, houses the 624-part, self-winding, in-house Caliber L082.1 with a patented stop-second function that allows time setting to within one-second accuracy. Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback is a blue and gold engraving with the historically important number 25. $335,800 in 18K white gold, A Lange & Söhne in New York, +1 646 828 3150, alange-soehne.com The newest Montblanc Heritage Perpetual Calendar Limited Edition watch houses an all-newmovement that spent three years in the development stages. The perpetual calendar portion of the self-winding MB 29.22 movement is composed solely of wheels instead of levers, so the user can adjust the watch via the crown in both directions. This makes it far easier to set the indications. Additionally, the new wheels- only concept enables a more legible display of the hour, minute, day, date, month, moonphase and leap year. Montblanc’s top watchmakers have incorporated a newly developed safety feature that prevents the owner from setting the watch between 8 o’clock and midnight when the movement could be damaged while the correctors perform their internal mechanical manipulations to stay accurate. The watch also offers a dual-time function and a 24-hour indicator. $26,240 in 18K rose gold, Montblanc in New York, +1 212 223 8888, montblanc.com MONTBLANC Heritage Perpetual Calendar Limited Edition

BULGARI Gérald Genta 50th Anniversary Arena Bi-Retro While Bulgari continues to set world records for ultra-thin watches, it also takes a new direction honoring Gérald Genta, one of the greatest watch designers of the 20th century. This watch recalls Genta’s famed bi-retrograde complication (minutes and date) with jumping hours. It pays tribute to the year Genta began his own eponymous brand, 1969. Bulgari has owned the Gérald Genta brand since 2000, and it turned to the archives for this watch. The case is inspired by the Gérald Genta Arena watch of the 1970s, but it has been redesigned with sleeker lugs, a new bezel and caseback, and an updated movement, the BVL 300, with a bi- directional self-winding rotor. The dial is translucent blue lacquer with rhodium and white numerals and hands. The 41mm watch is finished with a blue alligator strap and transparent sapphire caseback. $59,000 in platinum, Bulgari in New York, +1 800 285 4274, bulgari.com
