LOCAL LIBATIONS
RECIPE + PHOTO NEIGHBOURLY WINE CO.
Now that the outdoor patios are in full swing, we find ourselves reaching for vibrant and refreshing drinks to enjoy in the sun. While there's nothing like a crisp glass of fresh Vancouver Island wine, it's fun to find ways to incorporate our favourite local wines into lively cocktails this season. Taking inspiration from the beloved Aperol Spritz, this Seaside Spritz made from local wine and aperitif will pair perfectly with a relaxing summer day. The best part about making a spritz is playing around with the flavours–feel free to make this drink using your own favourite wine, aperitif and seasonal fruit/herbs.
Ingredients 4 oz Neighbourly Wine Co. Ortega 2 oz Esquimalt Bitter Orange Aperitif fresh strawberries soda water to top citrus wedge and sprig of mint for garnish
