Discover Holland Michigan 2022 Visitors Guide

Bask in the beauty of the Lake Michigan shoreline and the magnificent beaches that adorn it. Soak up the sun, body surf through the waves, or simply relax with a novel beneath a striped umbrella. From a small secluded beach to the vastness of a state park, the Holland area provides endless enjoyment for sandcastle builders, beachcombers and anyone soothed by the rhythm of rolling waters. While Holland has a variety of beach options, rising lake levels have returned decades of sand deposited on our shoreline back to the depths of Lake Michigan. Beaches are indeed smaller this year. With less space to lay your towel, please be mindful that peak beach times are 11 AM-1PM everyday; consider an early morning or evening visit. Please follow normal beach etiquette and keep in mind local P’s & Q’s and important safety information : • Respect our fragile dunescape and protected areas • Mind the park boundaries • Do not dig into sand cliffs; falling sand can be dangerous • Currents can be strong in Lake Michigan • There are no lifeguards at any of our beaches
