B usiness continuity manage ment system (BCMS) and information security man agement system (ISMS) are two closely related concepts in the realm of business man agement. Both have a lot in common and have many sim ilarities, but there are also some important differences between them.

Digital Age In today’s digital age, organizations must be prepared to manage a variety of risks associated with their business opera tions. A chief concern for any organiza tion should be how to safeguard its data and resources while also ensuring busi ness continuity in case of any potential disruptions or disasters. To do this effec tively, organizations rely on two primary

systems: business continuity management (BCM) and Information security manage ment (ISMS). While these two systems share some common goals and can both provide value to an organization, they are not one in the same. It is important to understand how these two systems interact with each other so companies can make the most out of their investments in BCM and ISMS.
