Recovery Now Must Occur Anywhere Many enterprise backup software offerings already can protect VMs across multiple hypervisors and clouds and across hybrid cloud environments. However, as they protect VMs, organiza tions must now verify they can recover VMs to a different plat form. This requirement to recover VMs anywhere has come more sharply into focus. Multiple variables contribute to this heightened emphasis. However, Broadcom’s VMware software licensing changes prob ably stands out as the single biggest driving factor.
