No matter the situation wrestling is meant to be enjoyed. Sophomore Ricardo Cortes said , "Whenever I win or lose a match I reflect on what I did wrong and try to improve it during practice, but I always tell myself loses are temporary and victories are forever."

Memorable Moments

"Wrestling gave me great memories not only during the match but outside as well. One of my favorite moments was going to overnight tournaments because we got to hang out at the hotel, and eat after the tournaments,'' said Junior Francisco Taboada .

The Bigger Opponent

" I never wrestled in my weight class because I never made weight so beating a bigger opponent was a shock but I also felt good about it." said Junior Katya Velasco.

Paul Diarte (12th) "The reason why I joined wrestling was because I wanted to do more than one sport senior year. My mindset was always set to win a match no matter how difficult it got, my mindset stayed strong regardless."

America Montellano (11th) "I started wrestling one year ago, being in wrestling was a love and hate relationship because it made me hate the progress

Omar Barajas (9th) "I remember losing against Indio during a tournament. The following day of the tournament I fought against the same wrestler and I ended up winning him. I felt so proud of myself. "

Paola Arias (10th) "When I lost a match I reflected on the moves I did during the match and how I could do better in my next match."
