set of faces. Not only did many novice volleyball players join the girls team, but surprisingly cool and for the first time in the Desert Mirage history a boys volleyball team was established. After a long summer of difficult practices and tournaments the JV Volleyball girls were ready to begin their new season under the leadership of Coach Robinson and anothre fresh face on the court, Coach Veronica Rodriguez , "I was very excited to be able to coach the JV girls volleyball team and make beautiful connections with all of these young and talented ladies." This school year was Coach Vero's first time coaching the volleyball girls albeit, she proved to be an invaluable addition to the team "I feel very proud that I was lucky to be coached by Coach Rodriguez, she was very encouraging and always made us laugh" says freshman Estrella Contreras . As for our new Boy's Volleyball team Coach Benjamin said "The boys had to learn how to connect on and off the court, they needed to learn how to trust eachother and how to trust themselves on the court."
