Desert Mirage HS 2020

Gotta stay hydrated

These athletes always stayed hydrated, especially because they played at temperatures that peaked up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Claudio Gutierrez said, "Most of the time it was too hot to practice, but we did anyway, feeling like I was going to faint was a daily routine."

Eying the opponent

Preparation was the key to success. Freshman Ivan Alvarado said, "every week we would set our game plan differently depending on the team we played, but our goal was always the same, to go out there and come back with a win"

Warming Up

The linemen warmmed up before their game by running through their blocking schemes and

reviewing their assignments.

Receiving Instructions

Coaches are some of our best friends in the field because they give us the motivation and support we need. Freshman Issac Ramirez said, "Coach Bellows always helped me by giving instructions during games and helped me make adjustments to play better." Football is a sport of brotherhood. Sophomore Angel Gonzalez said, "Stepping up when a teammate is injured is a great way of showing that you have their back."
