Desert Mirage HS 2020

The dance of the Gods. The Desert Mirage High School students came together to give homage to the divine aztec creators. Leslie Mendez said, "dancing under the full moon was an amazing experience. In that moment I understood what it felt to be in the shoes of a conchero." The students at Desert Mirage brought a glimpse of the Aztec culture back to the home of the rams. Students and parents got to experience the magical and vibrant performance of their Aztec ancestors live on the grounds of the Rams. Michelle Castro said," Performing was so fun it wasn't only about the performance but about bringing some of the culture that has been forgotten back." It was an honor for the school to host such a show. Dances like these are what keep the Aztec culture alive at DMHS. The Dance of the Gods
