Spooktober Crazy

Leaves fell and candies arrived. Darker nights with scarier vibes. Halloween arrived. People had the chance to act bizarre without being judged, express who they really were, or pretend to be someone else without the fear of public scrutiny. Friends hung out together and in jest scared small children around the neighborhood. Costume parties were attended. DM students looked forward to halloween at school. Students and Staff at DM showed up all dressed up like various ghouls to school, ready for the annual Halloween costume contest.

My favorite part of Halloween at school was seeing the creative costumes people come up with, like the giant orange T-Rex, who I could not figure out who was inside the costume.- Ms. Tafoya

Some students' favorite celebration of the year is Halloween.

"When I hear the word October what comes to my mind is a Snickers bar because of a funny commercial that I remember. But another reason I like Halloween is that during time that time it is also hoodie season, it is usually cold enough for sweaters" Diego Samaniego(11). It is a time sweets, cavities, and load of laughter. Yearbook Staff
