During the week of homecoming students got to run for Royalty Court and participate in activities Senior Luis Reyes said "My friends encouraged me to run for homecoming king and I thought it would be a great way to make my senior year a memorable experience. I enjoyed participating in the lunch activites, spirit week, and being able to ride the float. I never expected to win but when I did, I was in disbelief and overjoyed."

Homecoming arrived with a variety of activities for students to enjoy such as the football game, lunch time competitions, spirit week, and a pep rally to celebrate all the fall sports. This year for Homecoming the Desert Mirage students dressed up throughout the week to show school spirit. Themes included were Neon,TackyTtourist, Inside Out, and of course Ram Pride day. Students were also able to come to school with their Halloween costumes. ''My favorite day out of spirit week was Thursday because of the Pep-rally. I loved the energy and vibes everyone gave off'' Sophomore Alfredo Suarez said. Senior Gisselle Lopez agreed "This homecoming game was emotional because it was the last game of the season and my last game cheering on friday nights as a cheerleader." Students dedicated their time to run as Homecoming King or Queen. Nominations were held during the week, peers nominated couples and then voted for the final couple. ''I decided to run as homecoming queen because my friends encouraged me to run, I wanted to be involved and when I found out that I won I felt relief and hapiness'' said Senior Anastasia Cruz . The themed Homecoming parade, is a tradition held the Friday night before the big game. Each ASB class meets to create the best float. This years theme was music festivals. The end of the week was marked by the Homecoming dance on Saturday night at the DMHS gymnasium. Story by, Jatziry Garcia

Running for homecoming court is a hard process and something that requires you to be outgoing Juniors Carlos Verdugo and Virginia Cruz say, "We decided to run as Homecoming Junior Princes and princess because we wanted to try something new and something out of our comfort zone." Homecoming is a time where you can have fun with your friends and just vibe Sophomore Alfredo Suarez says, ''My favorite part about homecoming was dancing all night long with my friends I liked how we'd hype each other up."
