Self CARE

Self care ranges from yoga, meditating, painting or even writing endlessly in your journal about your woes. But self care only works when you listen to your body, and do what you want without resistance. Senior Cindy Sanchez said, " Self care for me has been letting myself do whatever the heck I want to do. I've been focused on my own well being by involving myself in activities like yoga and the East valley Dance team." Taking care of oneself is something that refuels us, rather than takes from us. It is something that should be done for personal advantages to lead a happy life. That is why Senior Jacqueline Ramirez said, "Self care to me has never been about material things, rather about treating myself to be a happier person mentally. Yoga has been

a favorite exercise for me. It really helps me feel less tense, and get me ready to tackle the trenches again the next day."

Anything that makes you feel safe and happy, is taking care of yourself.

Rams at DMHS know how to reward themselves.Some students may do activities like reading, walking thier dog, or simply giving oneself a facial. Life is fast and busy, which is why it is even more essential to pay attention to yourself and take care of your body, because we only have one. Story by: Alex Angel
