Desert Mirage HS 2020

Wrapping it Up Chatting &

Forever

"The past four years have been great. I have met new people and kept the real ones always by my side. Lastly, I created memories that I will treasure forever," -Senior Jazmin Vega .

The lives of our students in Desert Mirage High School may be complicated and stressful, but there was always a time when they could all relax, talk, gossip, and even more gossip: lunchtime. This year conspiracy theories were popular among almost all students. Conspiracy theories have emerged to become one of the most fascinating sensations of all time. No matter if it was questioning events or believing in the unknown, this became the phenomenal conversation starter among friends and strangers. This year the biggest conspiracy controversy that was talked by most of the friends during lunch was the dark side of cartoons such as Mickey Mouse, Teletubbies, and Spongebob Squarepants. They are some of our favorite childhood cartoons that we think are innocent. "It was really scary to see that these cartoons have a cynical side that children should not know about in such an early stage of life," Junior Fernando Prado said. "Every time a new conspiracy theory is uploaded, I felt surprised and mind blown because it was something new every time. I couldn't wait to socialize with my friends during lunch to hear every new conspiracy they had heard or seen," Senior Monica Rivas said. For this reason and many more, friends and even strangers enjoy talking and eating their meals. "I always look forward to spending lunchtime with my friends, from the moment I wake up in the morning. It was a time where my worries about my classes were gone and my friends made it all better," Senior Gonzalo Centeno said. Overall, lunchtime is a time where friends create memories that'll last forever. Talking about anything from aliens existence and showing our friends memes is what truly connects us as a generation and obviously as friends. -Story by Elizabeth Esteban

The Answer "The wanting to know the answer and the thrill of the hunt is what makes conspiracy theories fascinating," Sophomore Judith Zarate said. "Never trust anything or anyone."
