To my first group of AVID students. My OG's (original Gilbert's), the ones who have pushed me to be a better and more creative teacher. My time with you will forever have a special place in my heart. I have learned more from you these past four years than you will ever know. Because of you all I have learned to give more grace, have more patience and open my heart to all the needs of you both academically, personally and mentally. You are all amazing young men and women and your futures hold much more than you could ever imagine. Reach for your goals and beyond. You are all capable of much more than you know. I believe in you all. I am so proud of you all. Thank you for some of the best memories. I will cherish them forever. Thank you for being a part of my AVID learning curve and supporting me on my own AVID journey. Know you will be more than missed and my heart will skip a beat when you are not in my class the first day of next school year. But also know as you are all on the next part of your life journey, I know you are all 100% ready to tackle it with great success and I am filled with pride. I will forever love you all.
