Being able to freely express oneself has been a basic human fundamental, that being said, some students at Desert Mirage embraced their creative side through the art of performance. It was much more than some simple body movements, it was what gave students confidence, the opportunity to effectively express themselves, and a sense of community. The clubs provided these creative performers a chance to show everyone the charisma and passion that they then embeded through their dance moves, an opportunity that wasn't always available. “When I am really stressed or annoyed I tend to dance it out, making me much more relaxed’ students, much like Blanca Almada (11th), used dance as an escape from stress ridden school work and thoughts about future endeavors.

The dance programs not only gave students a safety blanket, to hold on to, when stressed, but a family as well. The chemistry these dancers had with one another was fully portayed on the dance floor. Their strong connections and teamwork skills allowed them to "To me this club was like a family, we all get along and genuinely enjoy each other's presence and friendship" said by junior, Jisel Valenzuela(11th) . The sole purpose of these programs were to simply give students the platform to express themselves while also giving them the opportunity to interact with people with similar interests and ambitions. Story by; Jasmin Perez make their permances appear seemlessly and coordinated.
