A program with great success which has developed over the years, the Desert Mirage High School Mighty Scarlet Regiment Ram Band and Pageantry has been climbing the ranks in the Coachella Valley. Our Band has won State Titles along with local recognition as a rising star. Leading the band is Director Dwight Asberry with head Drum Major Yadhziry Medrano on top of coordination. Talents range from twists and twirls to reading and outputting musical melodies. This family is made up of three components: the band, which contains all the instruments, the colorguard, which takes care of flags and sabers, and the drum line, which is the drumming rhythm. Many of the performances lets say won't require the use of the prestigious uniform as seen here in the picture. Fransisco Rojas (12) explains," Its really more a responsibility to have order therefore we pour our hearts out every single performance and its been the same since freshman year." Getting that W Woodwinds have the heart of the rhythm in our band. You might not have been able to hear them that much when the whole band was playing but you can feel them. "Underestimated at times of, but not to be messed with.Though I'm not in the woodwinds section but, pit is the woodwinds for drumline, we are the melody."-Sylvia Cruz(10) leadership of Daniel Figueroa (12) and Josue Gamboa (12) one beat has been the goal.
