"This season was a great learning process for the basketball program. We were not the biggest team out there but we tried to coach the players to be active at all times. Throughout the season we managed to build chemistry among the players which helped them gain confidence. This was a really special group of kids on and the court, they all have great futures ahead of them." -Coach Mike Rodriguez
Shots Up
Only way to score was to take quality shots, by moving the ball at all times. Each shot during warm up was a game situation shot."After I would make a shot I felt satisfied, relieved, and proud of my game." Leon Tizoc 11th
A key varsity player
Being in varsity for three years, Juan Romero left a big foot print for Desert Mirage basketball. "Being team captain is not only a big responsibility, but it is a great way to motivate my teammates and encourage them to strive for success." Juan Romero 12th
Going for the steal
As it is said, defense creates offense, getting a steal was crucial as they might determine the rhythm of the game. "Basketball gets my adrenaline going, and feels like I am in a track racing to get a bucket." Diego Magana 12th
