Coach em' Up

Knowing the strength and weaknesses of his players was key. Coach Zamora said, "I am a very demanding coach, I liked to maintain discipline in the team. I always expected a lot from these young men because I know that they are better than what they think they are."

Brotherhood

Great Leaders lead to Victories Basketball is more than just a sport. Brotherhoods were created. Junior Juan Amezcua said, "As a first year player I can definitely say that the best of basketball was getting to know my teammates. The bond we created became unbreakable." It was important to have good leaders on the court. Junior Izaak Fuentes said, "Experience can take you a long way in basketball. As a captain I enjoyed teaching my teammates everything I knew so they could improve themselves every day."

Staying Motivated Everyone had different was of staying motivated. Junior Levi Barrios said, "My biggest motivations on the court was my grandfather who sadly passed away, and my mom who was always supporting me at my games whenever she could."

Gettin' Physical

Basketball is all about technique and getting

physical. Coach Favela said, "I'm not a soft person. I would tell these kids they need to get physical in practice so that during games they played tough and intimidated the opponents."
