Make em' Believe

These young athletes were part of the 2019-2020 Girls Varsity Basketball team. They have struggled but stood up to show every team what they were capable of accomplishing. "After every game whether it was a victory or loss we knew we tried our best so we went out to eat and that's where we created amazing memories. We call this unity," Junior Samantha Meza said. Wish Together. Swish Together.

"What brought the team together was the support and communication. It was my first year being part of the varsity team and I felt very welcomed. I felt like I belonged there. That's what makes the team stronger every year it because it gives athletes a sense of home," Junior Kimberly Arrellano said.

A Team Above All.

"What I favored the most about the team was that we all supported and loved each other. They were the coolest people! Being in the team has taught me leadership skills and communication skills in which I will treasure forever," Junior Alejandra Lugo said.

Actions Speak Louder Than Coaches "Every player in the team tried to do their best in every game. If something went wrong, it was no one's fault. We tried to fix the mistakes after the game, so in the next game, we be prepared," Senior Victoria Rodriguez said.

Even though the girls lost their first game against La Quinta, they kept

working hard to beat them when they meet again. "We learn from our

losses. It is all about learning what you did wrong preventing it from happening again. As we said, ''Practice makes perfect," Senior Jazmin Vega said. Together we can do so much

Go BIG or Go Home.

"I believed that this year's team was stronger and more united. We all had each others back and nothing could of brought us down. Basketball involved plenty of time management, but we believed that by being there for each other, it helped everyone out," Senior Yamile Lopez said.
