Desert Mirage HS 2020

One Team One Dream

"We practiced five days a week for two and a half hours," Freshman Natalia Zamora said. The amount of practice and training that each player committed was for the love of the game. The ladies practiced year-round and motivated each other not to quit. Each and every year the ladies continued to work hard and it was all worth it. All the time they sacrificed contributed to the victories of this wonderful soccer family. "Our main objective was to work hard enough to become part of the Varsity Family," Freshman Destiny Sanchez said. -Story by Elizabeth Esteban

Enjoying the moments "The thing I enjoyed the most about being in the team was having fun with my girls because the whole point of being in the soccer team was to create memorable moments. Plus, seeing the team progress made me proud of being in the team," Freshman Ashley Sandoval said.

Being a member of the soccer team was not about being the fastest or the strongest. It's was about teamwork and communication and the ladies of Desert Mirage High School obtained that. "We would sometimes struggle to motivate and communicate with each other. Although we believed, the stronger the bond the more comfortable we were with each other," Freshman Aylin Zaragoza said. These ladies created a family bond. One important key was having each others back no matter what.
