EZTR stands for Easy Tank Replacement. It’s an introductory tankless model designed to replace an existing 40 gallon water heater. Where previous tankless heater installation was expensive and often required upgrades to gas lines and vent system, the EZTR is designed to use much of the existing hard- ware with little to no waste. The installation will use the existing b-vent stack and half inch gas line supply of the previous hot water heater and because of the top mount water connections, there is not extensive plumbing of water line connections to the heater. We started with the 40-gallon water heater because it is the most common storage tank size installed in 2-3 bathroom homes. The heater will provide an endless supply of hot water to two standard fi xtures running at the same time in the colder winter months, and three standard fi xtures running at the same time in the warmer summer months. The EZTR40 (which comes packaged like a standard tank heater) includes a top connection 120kbtu condensing 95% E ff . tankless water heater, 25’ of fl exible venting and all the accessories needed to install into an existing 3” or 4” round b-vent,¾”x18” fl exible water connections, water service valves and everything needed to complete the install except for the fl exible gas connector.
