THE YOUNG LAWYERS SECTION

To Marty, I never would have dreamed that any of this was possible when I was one of the 1Ls in the Legal Writing course at Chicago-Kent for which you were a Teaching Assistant. I am forever grateful for your guidance, friendship, and support over the years to help me get here. I wish I had the space to specifically congratulate every single one of the officers, but please know that I will always be one of your biggest cheerleaders and will give you my kudos the next time I see you. Most of you are returning to leadership positions in the next bar year, and I can’t wait to see what you accomplish under Gavin’s leadership. I also thank all the YLS Directors, Special Project Coordina tors, Committee Chairs, the members who served on the YLS’s Anti-Bullying Task Force, and all the members of the CBA Exec

utive Committee and fellow bar leaders who inspired me in more ways than I could count this year. These include Adam Zebelian, Justice Reyes, Whitney Siehl, Andrew Vail, Katie Liss, and Erica Harold, among many, many others. Underpinning the success of the YLS is the CBA staff who work every day to help develop our programming, including Jen nifer Byrne, Sharon Nolan, Veronica Chaney, and the catering and building security teams. Most importantly, I thank our YLS Director, Emily Anderson. If the YLS is a body, Emily is our heart, working behind the scenes to support and help lead every branch and project within the YLS with kindness abounding. Although my term is coming to an end, I know the CBA will always be one of my homes. I hope it has become one of yours, too.
