deed. HB2163 and HB2165 add addi tional funding to the indemnity statute for persons to recover equity in their property if it is lost to a tax deed. HB2166 ensures that property owners whose tax liens were sold at a tax sale will not be misled by the Redemption Amount on the Take Notice. HB3028 clarifies the amount required to be paid to a tax deed grantee when the order directing the issuance of tax deed is vacated. These bills were all referred to the Rules Committee. The Real Estate Taxation Deed Com mittee also proposed HB2164, which permits tax purchasers in Cook County to use special process servers to serve Statu tory Take Notices on interested parties whose properties were sold at a tax sale. The language in the proposal was incorpo rated into a bill that passed both houses. The Labor and Employment Commit tee proposed HB3763, which provides that documents that are not part of an employee’s personnel record cannot be used later by an employer in a judicial or quasi-judicial proceeding involving the employee, and SB0173, which requires employers to provide actual notice to employees when electronic monitoring in the workplace is occurring.
