The group will help offer guid- ance in internal program development and collaborate with all other committees when requested in the development of public-fac- ing projects and programs that encourage and enhance the equal treatment of persons with equal skill and qualification, free from socio-cultural biases. The committee will also encourage and promote activities and events that motivate the understanding of the culture, customs, and norms that define our diverse members, which are derived from a common core set of beliefs from their various communities. Justice John Paul Stevens Award Nominations for the Association’s 2021 Justice John Paul Stevens Award are due in early August. The CBA established the award in 2000 to honor lawyers and judges whose careers emulate the integrity and commitment to public service of Justice Stevens, who was a lifelong member of The Chicago Bar Association.
