G aming in Ohio is an urban experience with one land-based resort in each of the state’s four largest cities: Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Toledo. While none of the properties have their own hotels, each casino instead partners with hotels in their areas. Competition from other states is a major factor. Toledo is only 60 miles from Detroit and Cincinnati about 110 miles from Indianapolis. Cleveland is a bit over 100 miles from Erie, PA, with its racino, and about 135 miles from Pittsburgh.
