Phil Ivey, Jeremy Ausmus Score Titles Plenty of major poker tournament action continues, both live and online

S ome big names have cashed in over the last month and some major events are on the horizon. September saw two major poker names land titles. Poker legend Phil Ivey added a title at theTriton Poker Super High Roller Series in North Cyprus.The Poker Hall of Famer took down a $30,000 Short Deck event for $387,000. “I love playing Short Deck,” Ivey said after the win.“It’s a great game so I’m very happy.” For those new to Short Deck, the game sees all deuces through fives removed for only a 36-card deck.The game then follows the traditional Texas Hold’em format. However, the removal of those low cards changes the math of the game, with straights now ranked higher than flushes.With so many higher cards, the game sees plenty of action. No. 11. He finished runner-up in the $100,000 No Limit Hold’em High Roller at the series for $1.2 million. Another big-name player also recently made some big news online. Jeremy Ausmus grabbed his fifth championship bracelet in the WSOP Online at WSOP.com,which is available in Nevada,New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania. He scored $51,807 for winning the $365 No Limit Hold’em event. Originally from Colorado, the poker pro has dominated over the last year including winning three bracelets at the live WSOP in 2021. One of those came in the $50,000 Pot Limit Omaha High Roller for $1.2 million. TheWSOP.com event included some impressive names at a final table including three-time bracelet winner and poker commentator Nick Schulman,who finished runner-up for $37,792.Daniel Negreanu also took eighth for $6,079.

Jeremy Ausmus grabbed his fifth championship bracelet in the WSOP Online at WSOP.com, scoring $51,807 for winning the $365 No Limit Hold’em event.
