Norway’s Espen Jorstad won the 2022 World Series of Poker Main Event as he defeated Australia’s Adrian Attenborough at the final table. In doing so, Jorstad took home the $10 million grand prize as he out lasted 8,662 other players.

T he summer brings the busiest time in poker with the World Series of Poker and other tournaments all over Las Vegas.That seemed to ramp up even more this summer as the industry saw a bit of a return to normalcy and major events all over town. At theWSOP, the action was highlighted by Norway’s Espen Jorstad winning the $10,000 Main Event, the biggest event each year in poker. The action was streamed by PokerGO and will also air episodically as part of coverage of several tournaments on CBS Sports that began July 21.
Jorstad topped a field of 8,663, the second-largest in WSOP history, for $10 million. For more on his massive win, check out the Player of the Month section in this issue. This year marked the first time the series was held on the LasVegas Strip.Bally’s and Paris hosted the series and the setup generally received positive reviews.Several players stood out as the series played out.Here’s a look at some of those.
