The 2021-2022 Angelos staff committed to creating a book that would project the heart and culture of California Baptist University. This book would not be possible without: Dr. MaryAnn Pearson, director of student publications, for her overflowing kindness and apt words of wisdom, and Sonya Singh, assistant director of publications, for the continual encouragement and loving nature toward decisons when we popped into her office countless times a day. To our graduate assistants: Casey Maldonado for never failing to listen and problem-solve every dilemma, rant and computer crash. She is both a mentor and friend, along with being the resident Wordle mastermind. If she is ever absent from the Newsroom, which is hardly ever, her calming presence is missed by everyone. We are grateful for Lauren Sawdey’s dedication who, despite our tight deadlines always creates elegant designs at a moment’s notice. To our Walsworth representatives: Monica Lorea — the ever enchanting Yearbook Goddess — for late night calls, answers, guidance, and endless laughter, including jokes about speed dating and garlic noodles. Carlos Giron, for your support on every backend problem and everything behind the scenes.

Our amazing headshot photographer, Brenda Flores, whose passion and sweetness created the most inviting environment for every student on campus. Lancer Media Group, which contributed its empowering storytelling, design tips and photos. Finally, and most important of all, God, for allowing the desire, faith and hard work of the publication to be creatively inspired. Through him, everything was possible with his perfect will. The Specs: Volume 70 of the Angelos yearbook was printed by Walsworth Publishing Co. of Marceline, Mo. Monica Loera served as the yearbook representative, Kate Johnson is the cover artist and Kathy McCollum and Damon Stephens were the customer service representative. This book contains 208 pages on FSC certified legend matte 100# paper stock. The cover is a four-color, 160-pt. board in white linen with custom embossing and debossing. The endsheets were printed on 100# legend gloss. All photographs were taken digitally and edited using Adobe Photoshop CS6 and Adobe Lightroom CC. Our fonts include Karbon Family, Maximo Family , Palatino , Gallient , Tan Astoria and Tangerine .
