“I found that I enjoyed the physical task of just carving into the block the most. It’s surprisingly relaxing. However, I found that planning where to carve was the most challenging. You have to have a strong understanding of positive and negative space but the end result is well worth the effort. I’m most proud of my Xeno’jiva carving and I’d love to get a better handle on multiple block prints.” -Emily Frederick senior graphic design and illustration double major

“It’s very therapeutic, and I love being able to have a creative outlet in the midst of my loaded school schedule. I am also constantly reminded of the potter and the clay in Jeremiah 18, and it’s so cool to learn the same process that God brings us through.
