Carving out th e Future With increasing interest in different forms of art, students enjoy classes including Ceramics II, Ceramics III and Printmaking. These classes are only offered during certain semesters or based off interest. In Ceramics, students are challenged to handbuild and throw on the wheel, along with skills like wedging clay, centering on the wheel, coning, and pucking, collaring and glazing. Students in Printmaking learn how to use different materials like battleship, linoleum and plywood. As students learn reductive techniques, using multiple colors, blocks and understanding negative space, they continue to advance their knowledge in these courses.
