A Tribute to Bill O’Toole At the end of 2021, Bill O’Toole will retire as CEO of Catholic Financial Life, although he will continue to serve as a member of the Board of Directors. Here are just a few of his innumerable contributions to the Society.
Reinvigorated Faith and Fraternalism at Catholic Financial Life Bill increased member benefits, created a common cause to serve the poor and those with special needs and was a visible, active presence among our volunteer Chapter Leaders. Transformed the Business Bill fundamentally transformed Catholic Financial Life’s corporate governance and received the Board of the Year award from Foley and Lardner’s National Directors Institute. Champion of Education Through Bill’s leadership, Catholic Financial Life created a scholarship program that awards more than $250,000 in scholarships annually and provides charitable support
to Catholic schools across the country. Leader in the Fraternal Sector
Bill has made a huge impact on the fraternal system nationwide. As a member of the American Fraternal Alliance (AFA) Board of Directors and former Board Chair, he helped lead a restructuring of the Alliance to ensure it best fulfills its mission.
