More than Exercise Improve Your Fitness, Improve Your Life

T he most important thing I can tell you about fitness is that you are probably not thinking correctly about fitness. Fitness is not exercise. It is not diet. It is not “being active.” Fitness is all of your physical and mental habits all of the time, not just at the gym or the kitchen

table. The goal of improving your fitness should be to improve your life. To make a meaningful impact on both, you need to overhaul the way you think. For purposes of this article, it is simpler to discuss each category of fitness individu- ally. But constantly remind yourself that
