In August, the CBA's Young Lawyers Section took home several American Bar Association Awards of Achievement for the outstanding projects carried out by our members during the 2017-18 bar year under the leadership of Jonathan Amarilio. 2018-2019 Chair Brandon Peck and YLS Member Service Manager Alexis Crawford Douglas were on hand at the YLD Assembly to accept the Section's awards.

World City Bar Leaders Conference The Association will be hosting the 2018 World City Bar Leaders Conference in Chicago September 26-29 at the CBA Building. The World City Bar Leaders include leaders from the world’s largest metropolitan bar associations including: Beijing, Barcelona, London, Madrid, Paris, Rome, Frankfurt, Tokyo, Shanghai, Seoul, Warsaw, Ho Chi Minh City, New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and Chicago. The world’s largest city bar associations share many common concerns including: judicial independence, improved systems/ programs for accessing justice and the court system, public education about the law and the justice system, and the impact of technology on the practice of law.
