T he CBA and CBF joined our partners at the ISBA and ABA to recognize Senator Dick Durbin for his long standing leadership and commitment to access to justice during his decades of service in the Senate. Leading bipartisan efforts for increased funding for the Legal Services Corporation and the federal judiciary, supporting the Public Service Loan

Forgiveness program and broader student debt relief efforts, and advocating for the DREAM Act and the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program are just of a few examples of the many ways Senator Durbin has championed access to jus tice throughout his career.

Those being left behind by the alarming gap in access to our justice sys tem are our friends, relatives, and neighbors. They are children, families, and the elderly of diverse creeds and backgrounds, and they often are the men and women fighting for our country and their families… Let's demonstrate that "justice for all" is a meaningful commitment—and never becomes a meaningless cliche.
