Y O U N G L A W Y E R S J O U R N A L

As my tenure ends, I proudly join the ranks of former YLS chairs, who are not only legendary in my eyes, but who are also my good friends. I now pass the torch to Incoming Chair Jeff Moskowitz. He will start his bar year with extreme uncertainty, but I know he will work to provide section members with outstanding events and programs, no matter the circumstances. I have a year of eligibility left in the YLS, and Jeff, I’m here to help you in any way I can.

reinstate their driver’s licenses and pre- screened residents for immigration status adjustment. We provided holiday gifts to CPS students through Dear Santa Letters. The YLS created wills for first respond- ers with the “Wills for Heroes” program as well as powers of attorney and health care for senior citizens through the “Serv- ing Our Seniors” program. The Wills for Heroes program has taken on newmeaning in our coronavirus world, as first respond- ers have an even more urgent need for assistance. We are ramping up efforts to virtually create wills for first responders

and essential workers. I want to thank the CBA’s Executive Committee. Their guidance and leadership continue to allow the YLS to execute our outstanding programs and events. I want to thank my YLS officers because I asked a lot of them, and they delivered with the utmost enthusiasm. I want to thank YLS Director Jennifer Byrne and CBA Execu- tive Director Terry Murphy for their con- tinued work and over-the-top dedication. Last, I want to thank my parents for never giving up on my dreams. I’m the son of immigrants and a first-generation attorney.
