YOUNG LAWYERS SECTION: ADVICE FOR YOUNG LAWYERS

lawyer’s style and may change depend ing on the intended audience. In other words, what works for one attorney may not be successful for another. The point is this: as young lawyers progress and gain experience in the profession, they should feel comfortable incorporating the advice of other lawyers. But, eventually, young lawyers can and should develop their own style. This guide is meant to be helpful, not overwhelming. Please accept it in the spirit which it is intended. As you read the advice that follows, make sure you take the pieces that will be helpful to you and try to incorporate a few bits into your professional life. Since turnabout is fair play, also feel free to ignore the advice I have just written. In any event, I hope you find this issue useful and enjoyable. Remember that the arc of a legal career is long, and one day you too will hopefully pass down bits of wisdom for the next generation of lawyers.
